Purpose of this policy

1   To establish guidelines for the use of the City's special lighting features.

Interpretation

2   The Interpretation Bylaw applies to this policy.

Definitions

3   In this policy,

"special lighting feature" means a City lighting feature having functionality that permits the selection of colour and timing cycles, and includes the fountain at Mill Lake Park.

Illumination of special lighting features

4   The colours and timing cycles for each special lighting feature are selected on a random basis and changed at intervals throughout the year.

Special lighting feature requests

5   (1) Consistent with the City's Proclamations Policy, the City does not administer special lighting feature requests.

(2) City staff will acknowledge receipt of special lighting feature requests and advise applicants of this policy.
