WHEREAS pursuant to the Liquor Control and Licensing Act, the Council may restrict or prohibit any or all of the types of entertainment permitted under the Regulations pursuant to that Act or the terms and conditions of a licence issued pursuant to that Act.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the City of Abbotsford, in open meeting assembled, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
2 In this Bylaw, unless the context otherwise requires:
"Stripper" means a person who, during a performance, removes all of the clothing from his or her body, or who comes to the performance area or stage, either totally nude and dresses in the performance, or leaves the stage during the performance to undress and returns thereafter to continue the performance.
"Exotic dancer" means a person who, during a performance, removes a substantial portion, but not necessarily all, of the clothing from his or her body, or who comes to the performance area or stage substantially nude and dresses or leaves the stage during a performance to remove a substantial portion of his/her clothing and returns thereafter to continue the performance.
3 No person shall perform as a stripper or an exotic dancer in any premises in the City of Abbotsford which are licensed under the Liquor Control and Licensing Act.
4 No person, being the holder of a licence under the Liquor Control and Licensing Act to operate any premises in the City of Abbotsford, shall permit any stripper or exotic dancer to perform in such premises.
6 District of Abbotsford Bylaw No. 2265-1991, cited as "Licensed Entertainment Regulation Bylaw No. 2265-1991", is hereby repealed.
